How to Silk Print Multi-color Patterns on Plexiglass Display Stands?

Acrylic products can be seen everywhere now. More and more entertainment venues, shopping malls, electronic markets, jewelry stores and so on have their figure. But I wonder if you have paid particular attention to the beautiful patterns printed on many plexiglass display stands. In fact, most of these patterns are silk-screened. Do you know how to silk print the patterns?

Ⅰ. How to silk print multi-color patterns on plexiglass display stands?

1. For four-color pattern printing, stability aluminum screen frames of the same size should be used, and all screen frames used are stretched with the same silk screen. The use of dyed one helps to eliminate the moire. The tension of the screen printing plate should be uniform and the tension of the four-screen printing plates of the four-color printing should be the same.

2. The positive film is placed on the processing material of the plexiglass display stands and then exposed. Then the stretched screen printing plate is placed on the positive film and parallels to the image axis. If moire patterns appear, rotate the screen printing plate to the left or right until the moire patterns disappear, generally turning 7°. The area where the moire is easily formed is located in the direction of the wire mesh and the intersection of the wire mesh. Primary colors and darker colors cause more problems with moire.

3. One of the most basic requirements to achieve perfect image reproduction is that the quality of the transparent positive film must be good; that is, the edges of the dots must be neat, opaque and free of scratches. The color separation film and the printing ink use the same color scale.

4. A well-ground squeegee is very important for high-quality screen printing. The shore hardness of the blade is about 70° and the squeegee should be set at an angle of 75°. If its angle is adjusted too flat, The printed image may be blurred. If the angle is adjusted too steeply, the risk of distortion of the screen-printed image is greater. The reclaiming knife should not be installed too low; otherwise, the film will be filled with excessive ink, and the printed matter will be easily blurred and smudged.

Ⅱ. Fix the screen printing plate and pour the ink for trial printing before the batch screen printing of acrylic products

Check the level, ink color, the thickness of the ink layer, specifications and registration accuracy of the graphic reproduction on the layout. If the registration accuracy is poor, you can adjust it according to the fine-tuning knob on the front of the frame. If the inking is poor, you can wipe the graphic part of the printing plate with a solvent to improve the ink permeability and the wettability of the substrate to a certain extent. If there is a big difference in the tone and level of the graphics and text, the screen should be replaced immediately.
